Please Pray for Cecilia

Hello friends, family, and fellow prayer warriors. I am writing here again to ask for your prayers for our 15 year old daughter, Cecilia.  She gave me permission to post here on her behalf.  In late November she began having soreness in her knee which we attributed to an active lifestyle, "growing pains", etc.  The pain seemed to sort of subside over Christmas but came back with a vengeance in mid January.  After trying all the things (rest, ice, ibuprofen) we went in for an X-ray.  I thought we would hear a torn meniscus at worst.  Instead we were sent for an MRI and then fast tracked to pediatric oncology at UM Hospital.  Every test points to osteosarcoma.  Today we met with the doctor, had labs done, more X-rays.  Tomorrow we go for a CT and second MRI.  Friday she has a biopsy to determine the best plan of care.  Monday she has a bone scan.  We know what the doctors are saying and what the labs/tests say but we also know that we serve a MIGHTY miracle loving God.  Please pray with us for a miracle.  Cecilia is handling it all in the best possible way.  We have community around us loving us, praying for us, and lifting us up in so many ways and we are eternally grateful for this!  I plan to post updates here for Cecilia as we have them.  This is something no parent wants to experience and certainly something no teenager (or child) should have to navigate but we know God will make beauty from all of it.  So on this Ash Wednesday as we enter into Lent our "time in the desert" will be spent in and out of the hospital.  Thank you all for your prayers and love.
